How much does a Vegas trip really cost?

A Vegas trip budget should include transport, the full hotel stay, food, local travel, entertainment and a buffer. There is no single reliable total without your dates and party size. Compare final prices and keep refundable deposits separate from actual spending.

Build the budget from the total, not the nightly headline

Use this worksheet: transport to Vegas + accommodation including mandatory fees and taxes + meals + local transport and parking + shows and attractions + a contingency. Divide shared expenses by the people actually sharing them. Add individual expenses separately.

Accommodation: compare the same basket

For each hotel, record dates, guests, room type, the final stay total, any amount due at the property and cancellation terms. Check whether resort fees and taxes are already included so you do not count them twice. A refundable incidental hold affects available funds but is not automatically a final expense.

An illustrative three-night budget for two

Suppose the total room cost is $600, meals are $360 for two, local travel is $100, entertainment is $240 and the buffer is $200. That totals $1,500 for two, or $750 per person, before transport to Vegas. These are invented worksheet inputs, not current prices, an average, or an offer. Replace every number with quotes for your own dates.

Food, shows and getting around

Set a daily food allowance and price your must-do experiences separately. Check ticket fees, taxes, gratuities and transport costs rather than assuming they are included. Review any dining-credit restrictions before subtracting a credit from your budget.

Ways to adjust the plan

Compare another date, stay closer to your main activities, reduce paid activities or choose a lower total accommodation cost. The official destination budget guide offers ideas to research; verify current availability with each venue. Keep optional gambling spending separate and never count winnings toward the trip budget.

You can enjoy a Vegas-inspired break on Rush without booking a trip. Check the displayed plan and ticket requirements. Rush tickets have no cash value, cannot be cashed out and do not fund a vacation.
